FCRA compliance & disclosures
PRAYAS Team Environment Charitable Trust is registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act, 2010. This page carries the disclosures the Act and its Rules require us to publish — registration particulars, the designated FCRA bank account, and our audited annual accounts and returns.
Registration & account particulars
Every foreign contribution we receive is credited only to the designated FCRA account at State Bank of India, New Delhi Main Branch, as the 2020 amendment requires.
Every foreign contribution to the trust is credited only to our designated FCRA account at the State Bank of India, New Delhi Main Branch, as the 2020 amendment requires. It is never received in any other account of the trust, and never mixed with domestic donations.
This account may be used only for remittances sent from a bank outside India. Money sent from an Indian bank account is not a foreign contribution and must not be routed here — please use the domestic account shown on the Contribute page instead.
Write to info@prayas-india.org for the account particulars and we will send them along with the remittance instructions.
Annual returns & accounts
Form FC-4 is filed with the Ministry of Home Affairs within nine months of the close of each financial year, along with an audited statement of receipts and payments, the balance sheet and the income and expenditure account of the FCRA funds. A copy of any year’s return or audited accounts is available on request — write to info@prayas-india.org or ask at the trust office during working hours.
Certified by our chartered accountant and published once the year’s audit is complete. Choose a financial year.
Earlier years are preserved and available on request — write to info@prayas-india.org.
All foreign contributions are received only in the designated FCRA account at SBI New Delhi Main Branch. Nothing is credited elsewhere.
Funds are never passed on to any other person or association. They move only from the designated account to our own utilisation account, which the Act permits, and no more than twenty per cent is spent on administrative expenses.
Foreign contributions are accounted for separately from domestic donations, and audited every year by a chartered accountant.
Every rupee goes to animal rescue, treatment, sterilisation, tree protection and environmental education — the objects the trust is registered for.
Registration certificate, returns and audited accounts may be inspected at the trust office during working hours on request.
Giving from abroad
US donors get a tax benefit by giving through our partner charity Help Animals India, which remits the funds to us. Donors elsewhere may transfer to the designated FCRA account above — please email us the transfer details so your receipt and our reporting to the Ministry are correct.
