Environment Education
Working in animal welfare and conservation, we found one cause behind almost every issue: a lack of sensitivity towards the flora and fauna around us. Our education system teaches that they exist — it does not make anyone care. These are the projects we run to close that gap through active education.
Why we start with children
School children are fresh minds to train, and a culture set up in childhood lasts a lifetime. They are also the best route to the adults at home: if we want the right message to reach elders, their children carry it there better than we ever could.
And they are the generation that will have to fight the challenges ahead — global warming among them. They should be prepared.
Chaka Chak
We identified a film called “Chaka Chak”, about children in a neighbourhood who form a group called “Toli” to take on the environmental problems around them. Above all it tells everyone watching what one person can contribute.
We acquired the licence to screen the film across Gujarat state, and arranged multiple theatre shows for school children free of cost.
We then motivated each school to form a Toli of its own — a group inside the school fighting for environmental issues and raising awareness among the people around them.

Nature Curiosity
A campaign built for school children. We come to the school with animals, birds and reptiles from our shelter, and let the children get close to them and play with them.
The point is co-existence — that these creatures share the city with us, and that each one matters to the life cycle of nature. From there comes the understanding that conserving the environment is their responsibility, because every living creature depends on it.
The session carries a strong message of awareness and compassion, and it is delivered by experts.
Quiz on Environment & Wildlife
We launched an inter-school quiz competition and ran it for two consecutive years, covering most of the schools in the city.
The purpose is simple: give school children a reason to read about environmental matters, and the knowledge follows.

Bring a programme to your school
Screenings, Nature Curiosity sessions and the quiz are all run free for schools. Write to us and we will work out a date.
